Well, I actually slowed down the speech and listened and it turns out that my laptop has 173 Million 800 some odd bites of free memory, which is a hell of alot better than the 1 million I thought it had. I also found it's name. The manual said it's the 1200 XE but some of the things they were described weren't found on mine, particularly in the hardware. On the up side, it said there was a 20 mb hard disk when mine seems to have alot more so... I'm still searching for a parallel or rs 232 memory card reader or a superdisk or zip disk drive if nothing else. But for now, I need a program that's compatible with MS Dos 6.22 and the dos found on XP that would enable me to transfer data from the XP machine to the Dos one using either the serial or parallel ports. I know several exist but don't know if they can work with the two systems. Thanks.

Not sure if this will work but figured I'd write it before going to bed. I think I'm gonna try to connect my Keynote to my Braillenote and use the keysoft file transfer option on both to send files from the latter to the former via the serial port. If nothing else, it'll be an interesting experiment. I just wonder if the two machines will be able to find each other since the versions of Keysoft are so different? I'm guessing it'll be easier than trying to do it with my XP machine and the Keynote.
